Hi ladies, are you ready for a curious question?!

Has anyone else experienced a flicker/contraction in their vagina?? I was diagnosed with pn and need to know if anyone else here has ever had this happen. They come when I bend over and when I'm laying down

I get that often. I haven't been diagnosed with PN (yet) but I definitely get that. I was just asking my PT about it. I thought it meant the muscles were tightening (in a bad way) but she said it could also be your bodies way of core stabilizing. The pelvic floor muscles engage when doing certain movements to stabilize your core - bending over is one that makes it happen for me. I also find it happens when I'm tense, so I'm not sure what the reason really is.

And here's a really interesting one. I experience (not often) a little motor boat sensation in my urethra. It literally vibrates like a motor for extended periods. Sometimes it will go on for an hour, intermittently, sometimes on and off all day. I think I remember a urologist saying he understood and it made sense but (not kidding) a good shot of liquor will usually stop it.

Used to experience this a lot before PNE surgery -- especially when lying down which made it very difficult to sleep and also awakened me frequently. It was accompanied by a shock-like feeling along the course of the nerve.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Just wanted to follow-up on this - today after the coccyx 'block' I got the motor buzzing urethral thing. I haven't had it in over a year... thought that was interesting. That the block caused it and that I had just mentioned it yesterday. It only lasted about 4 seconds.
