Hello everyone, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place for introductions. I'm a 26 year old male dentist. (No longer practicing) My fight with pn started almost 5 years ago. It was very severe in the beginning, with self cafe and avoidance and luck, it got 90% better for about a year and a half, I thought I was safe. Now for the past two years it has been getting worse and worse to the point that I really don't have anything left that I "can" do. I'm from saskatchewan Canada so no specialists anywhere close to me. I am looking into moving somewhere temporarily to recieve a course of nerve blocks and surgery if it comes to it. I've also got severe lower back pain from the left side. A recent MRI revealed an enlarged transverse process on L5 vertebrae articulating with S1. There is evidence of a bone chip between the two bones. I'm at a loss as to what to try and improve first. Right now I'm trying to gain all info I can. It's difficult to travel but I can't wait on the terrible Canadian health care system any longer.
That's my story. Hi all.

Pudendal pain started in Feb 2014. Potter MRI- useless findings (dont waste your money), tried pelvic floor pt, ART, Trigenics, Osteopathic treatment, fascial work, Massage, Shockwave, world renown chiros, osteopaths and PTs, stretching bla bla. Nothing helped but shockwave (which was short lived) and one world renown chiro that is a douchebag because he cant treat me again. All in all, God is the only one who can lead your path.

Welcome to the forum, Jory. Sorry you are in this struggle and having to put your career on hold at such a young age.
Does the MRI show any impingement on the nerve roots? You can check out the Nantes team article to give yourself an idea as to whether to explore the PNE route. http://www.pudendalhope.info/sites/defa ... iteria.pdf
Hope you can sort this out and find the right treatments.
Best,
Violet

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
