Regular Dental and medical check ups!
Re: Regular Dental and medical check ups!
In the US dentists recommend check-ups every six months to check for any tooth decay/gum disease and for a regular cleaning. That's interesting though that your PN meds may have masked dental pain -- I had never thought of that before.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

It makes sense to have regular check ups for dental care, and also if you are taking long term meds they must work on other pain matters too, hence the need for more often monitoring of your dental hygiene to watch out for potential risks of infections etc.
The one thing that is well known about medication and dental care is that most meds for pain reduce the amount of saliva that you produce and this gives you a higher risk of placque and other bacteria related mouth problems. I am visiting my dentist this week for my regular checkup - your post didnt remind me I had already made an appointment

PNE started 2003 following Vaginal Hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair and right oophorectomy; eventually after many tests had BilateralTG surgery Nantes 2004; following this tried many other treatments including 7 day epidural, ketamin infusions to no avail; Trialed and was implanted with a Neurostimulator in 2007- Dr Van Buyten Belgium, this has enabled me to manage my pain much better.
