To all new members of HOPE

We would like to encourage you to create your signature when you register. If you mention your location it will help us to locate and direct you to local medical centres which are near to you and can possibly help you. The other advantage is that fellow members who live in your region know that they too have someone close to them who had the same pain as they do......so by joining and announcing your location you are also helping others.
PNE started 2003 following Vaginal Hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair and right oophorectomy; eventually after many tests had BilateralTG surgery Nantes 2004; following this tried many other treatments including 7 day epidural, ketamin infusions to no avail; Trialed and was implanted with a Neurostimulator in 2007- Dr Van Buyten Belgium, this has enabled me to manage my pain much better.

Amanda,
You could make asking for location part of the registration process, with a privacy option for those who wish not to disclose.
pelvic pain started 1985 age 14 interstitial cystitis. Refused medical care from age 17, did GREAT with self care for years.
2004 PN started gradually, disabled by 2009. Underlying cause SIJD & Tarlov cysts
improved with PT & meds: neurontin, valium, nortriptyline, propanolol. (off nortriptyline & propanolol now, yay!)
Tarlov cyst surgery with Dr. Frank Feigenbaum March 20, 2012.
Results have been excellent so far; but I won't know my final functional level for a couple of years.

To change your location is easy just go to the user control panel and adjust your profile settings and then submit your changes.
The main thing about showing your location is to help others see that they have people in their vicinity who have the same problem as them.
its all about teambuilding and gathering contacts who understand about Pudendal Nerve problems.
