Hello Group,
I have had success with nerve blocks but they only last a few months. My Dr has advised that the next steps should be more drastic. Has anyone had any form of nerve ablation/ cryoablation (freezing of the nerve) and can give me some input/ reviews of how it went? I am worried about complete numbness in the pelvic region but would love more pain relief. Any advice would be great. Thank you.
Nerve Ablation/ Cryoablation?
Re: Nerve Ablation/ Cryoablation?
Redgirl,
I don't remember anyone on this forum ever posting their experience with cryoablation of the pudendal nerve. We've had several people report on pulsed radio frequency ablation and the reviews were mixed. Good luck if you try it. I would be interested to hear how it goes for you.
Best,
Violet

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
